Natural or not?

As I grew up in an almost completely german neighbourhood with barely any mixed people, I have never felt the urge to have straight hair. Everyone was always fascinated by my curliness and I could do almost anything with it. However, slowly getting out of the age where two afro puffs on both sides were considered presentable, I started researching more and more about different hairstyles and treatments for natural hair. What I soon noticed was that all these bloggers and youtubers were not life-long naturals. They all had their stories of pressed, relaxed and texlaxed hair. Now, with natural hair, they were convinced that this was the only true way to wear your hair. There are almost no natural hair gurus out there who are not convinced that natural hair is the only hair you should have. They say that you should love what you have and deal with your hair the way it is. Of course you should be happy for the awesome hair texture you have, but I personally think that if you aren't comfortable with your hair, or you don't have the time and money for it, you can absolutely get it straight. I think that the more options you know and have, the better. So, if you feel bad in any way for not 'respecting and loving' your curls, so what! Hair is hair and our society already puts too much value on these dead cells.
